I loved to read this book. There was so much to learn about a foreign culture. Ayaan's childhood and teen years in Africa. Her way to relate to the challenges of Islam. I admired her courage to break free from all that. And I was saddened about how after her emancipation from Islam she lost her balance in the fight for women or should I say against Islam. All in all still a great insight in her reality which challenges the reader.
