An Incredible Book

Lily of the Valley Carnie has written an excellent book about Chi, the life energy that flows through the universe.   She teaches in a way that is informative, easy-to-read, and fun.

In a conversational fashion, she explains how to incorporate the awareness of Chi into your day-to-day activities, from writing a letter to to flying a kite.   Her book is organized so that once you've covered the basic principles in the introduction, you can open the book to any page and find a self-contained lesson on Chi applied to a specific topic ( like healing or enhancing your sense of smell or training with colors or even fly-fishing ).

I really enjoy Lily of the Valley's book because she captures the most important lesson of any Martial Art or Chi Gung practice, namely that the point of training is to move beyond the practice and be able apply it to all parts of your life.   I highly recommend it to anyone interested in exploring this ancient art.

You posses the ability to tap a bottomless well of physical and psychic energy (called “chi” in Chinese).   With it, you can harness the magickal power of the universe.  Yet most of us unknowingly block the flow of this power, and live out our lives not reaching the potential that we could achieve if we only knew how.
