I have read this book once…and need to read it again!  It is packed full with oral histories of all kinds of women on their versions of a sacred sexual journey.  Bonheim does a wonderful job of weaving in her own experiences as well as mythology and stories from other cultures.  It is an extraordinary book!

For the now on my journey this has to be one of the biggest books I've read .. so much resonance, discovery and personal healing from reading it.

To wait, to patiently sit in the dark without knowing what the outcome will be, to protect and respect that which has yet no clear form – all these are aspects of the womb.
