Kay is an amazing fantasy author, and I've enjoyed a number of his books but none as much as Tigana. It's a tragic love story, a story of civil war, a story of friendship that goes beyond the ordinary… the magic only reinforces the humanity in this book… Kay takes religion very seriously and creates believable faiths… If you love fantasy and stories which are big on interpersonal relationships, I think you'll find this well worth reading.
