Narcissus and Goldmund - Series of 20 - Finished: 07 September, 2003
Sixteen to sixty
I read this as junior in high school. I took so much away from this book that I continued to use it as point and counterpoint in a number of my college classes. I still refer students to it as part of uncovering their calling or vocation. It's not the perfect life, but the intentional life that we seek.

A friend recommended this book to me and I fell in love with it and read it over and over again. It doesn’t just relate to artists in terms of how life exists in art and vice versa, but beautifully explains how our lives are journeys in search for our true selves. Plus, it’s written by Hermann Hesse. Who doesn’t love Hermann Hesse?!
