We all want to be happy
The Dali Lama has such a simple and sweet spirit. I accepted the gift of his wisdom and loving spirit that I found in this book. I also saw a documentary on him through Spiritual Cinema. And I viewed the movie, The Tibetan Book of the Dead after reading this. How moving, how humbling, how much we can learn from these simple people.
WOW
Honestly, so much 'clicks' when you read anything that the Dalai Llama says. His advice is so simple that you wonder how we as society could have ever strayed so far from being content!

This booked opened up an entire new way of thinking and seeing the world for me. It made awesome comparisons between Eastern and Western thought. I helped me to understand many of the differences and similarities. One of the most profound excerpts for me was when the DL was asked about self hatred. He has no concept of it. He had to think about it to get his mind around it. Once he did, he cried.
